Yes. IAPMD has a profile on Charity Navigator as the ‘International Association for Premenstrual Disorders.’

Charity Navigator provides a comprehensive analysis of charity performance across four key domains, or "beacons" - Impact & Results, Accountability & Finance, Leadership & Adaptability, Culture & Community. They also give eligible charities a 0 to 4-Star rating, which is determined by the weighted sum of the organization’s individual beacon scores (0-100). Organizations must have an Impact & Results score and/or an Accountability & Finance score to be eligible for a Star rating.

IAPMD currently scored 100 in the Leadership & Adaptability beacon and 90 in the Culture & Community beacon.

We do not qualify for a “Star Rating” at this time because this is based, in part, on an organization’s filing Form 990 with the IRS. IAPMD currently files Form 990EZ form and has not yet reached the threshold for filing Form 990. To be required to file Form 990, a nonprofit should have a gross income of more than $200,000 during the past fiscal year. Also, nonprofits with assets collectively valued over $500,000 must file Form 990, even if their revenue is less than $200,000. Charity Navigator leverages several fields in the IRS Form 990 to generate scores for the Accountability & Finance beacons. Charities need at least three consecutive years of data to receive a score.

The absence of a star rating does not indicate a positive or negative assessment; it only indicates that the organization has not yet been evaluated. However, rating scores of 90+ are considered “GREAT,” the highest level, and mean that the charity exceeds or meets best practices and industry standards across almost all areas and is likely to be a highly effective charity.
