Researchers have found differences in calcium and Vitamin D metabolism among women with PMDD compared with control groups.
High Vitamin D and calcium intakes have been shown to help alleviate or reduce symptoms of PMS, however, there is insufficient evidence to support supplementation of Vitamin D and calcium for individuals with PMDD.
Focusing on a diet rich in calcium and Vitamin D is beneficial.
