Yes - PMDD is a spectrum disorder and so there are varying levels of severity of symptoms with those living with the condition. Not everyone will experience PMDD in the same way, however, it is important that you carefully track your symptoms alongside your cycle to gain an accurate diagnosis.

By definition - PMDD symptoms are severe enough to impact interpersonal relationships/education/work/quality of life.

These symptoms may be mild, moderate, or severe. The severity of these symptoms can also worsen and change over time depending on individual factors and/or around reproductive events such as pregnancy, birth, miscarriage, and perimenopause.

When seeing health care professionals, having tracking information to show them can be very helpful - it can be useful to also note the severity of symptoms and the impact they are having on your life.

No matter the severity of your symptoms, IAPMD is here to support you in your journey and provide you with evidence-based information to assist you.
