Black women and AFAB individuals are understudied and underserved in medical settings, which is also true in the case of Premenstrual Disorders.
We do not have any reliable information about differences in the diagnosis or experience of premenstrual disorders across racial categories. Although some studies claim to address this topic, they use single-timepoint reports that are not considered valid, so we must wait for more research before coming to any conclusions.
