Pre-eclampsia in pregnancy is associated with increased health risks later in life, including increased risk of high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure, and kidney disease. There is currently no evidence that surgical menopause exacerbates this risk; however, it has not been thoroughly studied scientifically.
If you have a history of preeclampsia, ask your doctor how to manage these risks, both in general and during your transition to surgical menopause.
