At the first instance, your provider would need to establish why the period is late. If it is due to an underlying gynecological condition, then you would need to make sure that is managed accurately.

Provera as a method to induce a bleed is not a usual management tool but it may be used in an acute setting with a preexisting condition.

PMDD patients should potentially expect an aggravation of PMDD-like symptoms so should prepare for this and ensure they have additional support in place.
